Blink 182

     This punk band uses extreme sarcasm and humor as a form of expression. Blink 182 is made up of Tom DeLonge - Guitar, Vocals, Mark Hoppus -Bass, Vocals and Travis Barker - Drums, who all grew up in the inland part of Southern California. The band came together as a group of kids who skateboarded and grew up together . They finally called them selves a band in 1993 and released their first full-length album in 1994 called CHESHIRE CAT. Blink 182 was never signed in until 1996. Even though the band members are old enough to think for themselves Blink 182 still consults with each other about band projects. Especially on the titles of songs. It took them two years to come up with the name Blink 182.  The name Blink was already used by a Scottish band, so they added 182 for the heck of it.  It has absolutely no special meaning. Albums released are in the following order Cheshire Cat, Dude Ranch, Enema of the State, The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show and Take off your Pants and Jacket.

Disturbed

      Disturbed is a heavy metal band that came together right after they first met each other.  Dan (guitar), Mike (drums), and Fuzz (bass) played together in Chicago. They hooked up with David (singer) in 1997. David grew up in a religious family.  He was a very rebellious child, and got kicked out of 5 boarding schools. His way of getting rid of all his anger, was to sing in the band.  They started in the south side of Chicago until they made a demo tape.  This tape made them the band they are today.  They have an album out called "The Sickness."  It is a pretty good album. 
In my opinion this band is decent.  They have a real loud angry sound that I can get into.  I think that they are sometimes a little too depressing or at least they depress me.  The current album is awesome and I enjoy listening to it very much.
