Console Consortum

Playstation 3

By - James Bogdanski

Well, all gamers know that Playstation 3 will not be out until 2005 and the screenshots of it are definitely phony and everything said about it is not true right now because there are only prototypes of it.
They say that you will only be using Playstation 3 online, this might be true, since other consoles have online capabilities.  Some people talking about it also say that it will be used for online shopping, that is not true, I can tell you that as a fact.
I just saw a screenshot of PS3 and it looked like a very old system.  They say that PS3 is going to be a lot better than Pentium 4 computers. I really think that could be true, in my opinion.
I think I saw some prototype screenshots of PS3 games and they look like PS2 games.  I can't believe that they compared a prototype PS3 with like, the first system that came out.
They also say that PS3 is going to have a supercomputer chip and it will have 1 terra FLOP.  This will probably not be true at all because a terabyte is an awful lot of memory.  I do not think PS2 will be a good system because of all the frauds I saw today.
I also hear that it will have an AM/FM radio so that you can listen to music.  One last thing I know they said is that it will be better than Xbox.  I doubt that, but it could happen, cause, don't forget that this is out in 2005, maybe 2006.
I do not think this will be a good product because I bet it is going to be a highly priced product.  I highly doubt that the system will be used for ONLY online use and they will tell other things it will have in the future, I bet.

Internet Exploitation
By: James Bogdanski

Microsoft is investigating a flaw in Internet Explorer. There have been reports of a security hole that enables an attacker to pose as a legitimate website operator and then access personal information such as names, passwords and credit card information.
In theory, any website with a valid certificate can pretend to be another web site operator.  They could then hijack a computer user as they went to banking or an e-commerce websites and intercept their information, or send them to dummy websites and then ask for personal information.
It seems that only Internet Explorer Versions 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0 have this security problem. Those, which do not use Internet Explorer Code, should be immune (web browsers such as Netscape and Mozilla.)
