     Planting Flowers

I like to plant flowers. There are a lot of steps to do.  First, you make a big hole in the dirt. Then you put your seed or plant in the hole. Then fill in the hole. Water each Plant. Also, water your plants everyday, if it doesn't  rain. All flowers need water. My favorite flowers are Roses. I like different colors. They seem to last the longest. My favorite color rose is coral. This is almost like an orange. Other great flowers are wild flowers. Planting is hard work, but fun.

     The Wright Brothers

Orville and Wilbur Wright operated a bicycle shop in Dayton, Ohio. They had dreamed about flying since the 1890's. They called it the Flyer. At Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, they constructed a wooden track down a hill to provide as smooth surface as possible for take off. On December 17, 1903 Orville Wright made the first manned and powered flight.

Moon Landing

The most thrilling moment in human history took place 235,000 miles away. The hatch of the Apollo 11 lunar module opened. Neil A. Armstrong dressed in a space suit climbed down a ladder. When his boot touched the moon it was one giant leap for mankind. Four days earlier on July 16, 1969 a giant Saturn V rocket has been launched from Cape Kennedy in Florida. The rocket was the Apollo 11 Space craft carrying three American astronauts. They were Neil Armstrong, Edwin E Aldrin Jr., and Michael Collins. Then on July 20, the Apollo 11's lunar module separated from the rest of the spacecraft and carried Armstrong and Aldrin to a flat area on the moon's surface.
