Marijuana is probably the most commonly used drug next to alcohol. Marijuana, or pot, is a plant grown in hot weathered areas. Most people try to grow it in their own home but the consciences of this are severe. The rules against growing pot and selling pot vary due to different age groups. Teens may get probation time and have to go to court, giving up 2 to 3 years of their freedom, and adults may serve prison time due to how much they have and how they were handling it. Pot is smoked through a pipe or can be rolled into a cigarette form called a joint.  Marijuana's harmful ingredient (THC), has many effects on the body as well as reality.  One of the side effects is that it makes you hungry and in need to eat, they call this "the munchies." It can cause anxiety attacks along with paranoid thoughts. It affects the respiratory system, damaging the immune system; It causes coughing, wheezing, chest colds and makes you more prone to getting pneumonia. It has not been proven, but in most cases smoking marijuana may lead to other drug use.  Smoking pot kills brain cells and makes it harder to remember anything or understand certain situation. Schoolwork is highly bothered by this drug cause the kids do not remember the work that they were taught. In some cases this is proven wrong, but is hardly enough to deny this accusation. Activities after school maybe denied because of failing drug tests, and if you are in an activity after school, it negatively alters your breathing for sports and such. Many of the fun things out there for you are taken away due to smoking marijuana.

  Drugs, as you may already know, are addictive. They will ruin your life and waste your money. If you are an addict you are either looking for your needs or actually doing it. After you've taken them, you say to yourself,  "What now?" "I spent all this time looking for it and I have been successful finding it, now that I've done it, what do I do?" It corrupts your life and activities, changes your body for the worst, and affects your friends and family. Many car accidents and violent behaviors are due to drugs. They can cause a chemical imbalance in your brain and change you into someone you normally wouldn't be. Everyone you knew before your habits will be unhappy with your new hobby and hate the idea of you ruining yourself. You do not need to die at a young age, but if this is your path through life, you will not go very far. Not only can you be emotionally dead, but your life will be taken by the drug of your choice. Most of the time you are doing more than one so it just makes it worse. There are many people in this world to relate to and understand your situation, so go to an NA meeting or AA meeting or a DNA (Drugs Narcotics and Alcohol) program. It does not hurt to talk to someone with the same difficulties.
