Bill De Leeuw here again, today I'm going to tell you about Summer Slam and some of its greatest matches, the past of Steve Austin, and information on the "Hardcore Legend" Cactus Jack.

SUMMER SLAM

Summer Slam is one of the WWF 's (World Wrestling Federation) biggest events of the year. What better way to end your summer vacation than watching the main event live on August 27, 2000?
Interesting showdowns are Jerry, "The King Lawler", Vs. "Tazz" in addition to, Chris Jericho Vs Chris Benoit. Due to Commissioner Mick Foley, there will be a special first time ever TLC (Tables Ladders and Chairs) match. This match will involve The Dudleys, The Hardys, and The WWF tag-team champions, Edge and Christian.
The main event match of Summer Slam is going to be a three-way dance involving the current WWF Champion, "The Rock", Kurt Angle, and "Triple H".

SUMMER SLAM'S GREATEST MATCHES

In 1994, the main event match was "Yokozuna" vs. "Lex Luger" for the World Wrestling Federation Tittle that Yokozuna previously possessed. The match was pretty good being a true case of David & Goliath. It was neck and neck until Mr. Fuji threw salt in Luger's eyes. In doing so this gave Yokozuna a little bit of an advantage. Luger was then fighting back with every thing he had, and tried to body slam him but he failed because he was too tired. Than Yoko went to pin him down but Lugers strength came back just in the nick of time. Luger used all of his momentum and finally body slammed Yokozuna. Then Yoko got up, a short time after, and Luger gave him a thunderous running forearm and him out of the ring. Yoko was knocked out of the ring and got counted out. Luger won the match as the result of DQ (disqualification). Too bad you can't win the belt as a result of a DQ.
Some of the other greatest matches at Summer Slam include "Bret Hart" vs. "Mr. Perfect", "The Undertaker" vs. "Kamala", and "Razor Ramon" vs. "Ted Dibeose".

STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN

Steve Austin started wrestling in the WCW (World Championship Wrestling) with an alias of "Stunning Steve Austin", in 1989. A good time after in 1995, Austin transferred to the ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) for a year. Throughout his career he defeated almost anybody that challenged him.
One of his opponents was "The Sandman". While fighting in this match, Austin gave him a Stun Gun (a trademark move) off the top of a latter. This allowed him to win the match. Austin was undefeated until he lost against "Mickey Wipwreck"- a close match where Austin had the upper hand for the most part until Wipwreck cheated and pulled on Austin's tights to pin him down.
In 1996, Austin joined the WWF and wrestled under the name "The Ringmaster", managed by "The Million-Dollar Man" Ted Dibeose. Even though he was given "The Million-Dollar Belt" Austin did not stick with being that character very long.
After defeating the bible-referencing Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Austin became the 1996 "King of the Ring", He accepted his crown and upon doing so informed Roberts that "Austin 3:16 says, I just Whooped you're ass!" After saying this, Austin became the most popular superstar to ever compete in this sport being forever quoted as "Austin 3:16".
