The year 2000 was a remarkable year putting many things on the map. For instance the great Y2K scare (where many people cringed at the thought of the new millennium), the many changes in technology and (to me) most importantly, the FASHION! Throughout this year alone, fashion has changed drastically. First we entered the "hippie" stage (from the 70's), which had the majority of the youths sporting bell-bottoms, crush velvet, glitter, platform heels, polyester leisure suits, halter-tops, etc. As the fall season comes around fashion is, sadly, once again changing, and in my opinion for the worst. The time has come to enter the 80's with the return of nameplates, leg warmers, moccasins, a large variety of bracelets and necklaces and last but not least teased hair. Hopefully, but not realistically, the trends might just skip over that whole decade but until then here are some of the trends that we have to look forward to for this fall.
